COLUMBIA MENS
We hope to see you out there. Way, way out there.
In 1937, Gert's parents fled Nazi Germany and purchased a small hat manufacturer in Portland. They named it the Columbia Hat Company, marking a new beginning for the family. The business eventually passed from Gert's father to her husband Neal, and then to Gert herself in 1970. Overnight, she went from being a housewife to an executive after Neal's sudden passing. Today, Columbia's "Tough Mother" legacy lives on through Gert Boyle, who was known for her legendary perfectionism and high standards. These qualities continue to guide Columbia as they remain passionate about the outdoors, just like their loyal customers. While their gear is available worldwide, we are proud to call the Pacific Northwest their home, where the lush forests, snowy mountains, rugged coastline, and open spaces serve as their playground. This is where they hike, fish, hunt, camp, climb, shred, paddle, golf, run, and simply enjoy the fresh air with their friends.
